In 1937, the Paris Sofa was launched for the first time. The sofa designed by Elias Svedberg for the Swedish pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris was part of an interior he created together with the designer and textile artist Astrid Sampe. Paris Sofa is now being relaunched with approval from Elias Svedberg's descendants.
The sofa, which is a typical example of the Swedish Modern style, shows that great design stands the test of time. Even though it was more than 80 years since the sofa was first launched, it feels just as relevant today. Made from a solid beech frame and a seat consisting of springs and several layers of foam ensures great comfort. In this version, the sofa is covered in a velvet from Rioma.
